ISAM Kennisevent 2007

On Friday the 19th of October the fourth edition of our annual Knowledge Event took place, which was traditionally organized by ISAM and Professional Capital. Also at this edition, prominent speakers provided the attendants with the newest insights into fields of sales & account management and leadership. Over 100 ISAM relations were present.

The event took place at a unique location in Rotterdam: the Panorama room of the entirely renewed Golden Tulip Hotel. At the closing dinner, participants enjoyed the fantastic view on the Maas and the Erasmus Bridge.

The topics of this year were:

Commercial auctions

By now the first commercial auctions have been successfully conducted at renowned companies. At the Knowledge Event of 2005 this concept, which has already been known in the United States, was discussed for the first time. These auctions have a great impact on, for example, the trustworthiness of sales forecasts and hence the returns of the business community. This interesting and for many organizations very relevant case was elaborated on during the event. Prof. Eric van Heck ofthe Rotterdam School of Management and drs. Mathijs van der Vlis shared their results with the audience.

fMRI and its applications

Lately, Prof. Willem Verbeke Ph.D. and drs. Roeland Dietvorst have been in the news extensively with their ground-breaking research. Last year this interesting subject was well received by the attendants. At the event of 2007 the latest important insights from the research conducted at the Institute for Sales and Account Management were presented.

Human energy, vitality and commercial performance

ISAM and Professional Capital know some people in their networks who are experts in this increasingly important field. One of these experts is drs. Harry van Bolhuis, MBA.

Ground-breaking methods have been developed which can measure how effectively people deal with their available (human) energy. Through the newest insights into what we call the "doable" brain, we know that people can learn very specific new behaviors and develop a lifestyle that leads to sustainable vitality, commercial effectiveness, and a pleasant and energetic life.
